A Letter to My Child: Reflections on Motherhood
Share
Dear Little One,
I still remember the first time I felt you move inside me—like the flutter of a tiny butterfly. In that instant, everything changed. You became the center of my world, long before I even saw your face.
I spent months preparing—folding tiny clothes, reading parenting books, imagining the sound of your cry. But nothing could have prepared me for the moment I held you for the first time. In my arms was a piece of my heart, living outside of me.
💛 Becoming a Mama
Before you, I thought I knew what love was. But then came you—with your softness, your warmth, your endless little needs—and suddenly, love became so much bigger. Messier. Deeper. Realer.
You've taught me more than I ever thought I could learn. About patience. About presence. About letting go of perfect and holding on to what's true.
🧺 In the Everyday Magic
Motherhood lives in the quiet, ordinary moments. In the way your fingers curl around mine. In the sleepy weight of you against my chest. In the way we lock eyes when words don't work yet.
It’s in the sticky kisses, the toy-strewn floors, the last sip of cold tea, the lullabies I hum even when you’re already asleep.
These are the moments that made me. That make me—every day.
🧵 Why I Created Cuddly Cubs
Every fabric I pick, every design I sketch, every thread that runs through our clothes—it's all woven with love. I wanted to build something that wrapped babies in the kind of comfort only a mama understands.
I may not be able to stop time, but I can create little pieces of your childhood that feel like a hug—even when I’m not holding you.
🌱 What I Hope You’ll Always Know
I hope you grow up knowing that you were always safe in my arms and deeply loved in my heart. That everything I do—every long day, every choice I make—is rooted in a love so fierce, it reshaped who I am.
You made me a mom.
And that will always be my greatest joy.
To every mother reading this—this is your day too. The love you give, the strength you carry, the softness you bring into your child’s life—it matters more than you know.
Happy Mother’s Day.
With all my heart,
Mama
